What are the ingredients?
Our sleep range contains the top 7 plant extracts we believe are the ultimate for inducing deep sleep. These plant extracts have been carefully blended and cold pressed into concentrated essential oils which when inhaled or applied to your skin can help to lower your stress levels, switch off your busy mind and promote deep and therapeutic sleep. Our night oil which you rub onto your pulse points also contains certified organic camellia oil which is one of the most penetrative carrier oils for your skin, evening primrose oil and vitamin E. In fact many of our customers use this night oil as their preferred face moisturiser at night as it is so penetrative and nourishing.
We don't allow a large factory to make our products so there are no nasty fillers in our products. They are just packed full of all the powerful ingredients needed to assist you in your quest for a wonderful nights sleep.
Is it suitable for babies, children and the elderly?
Yes, The Australian Sleep Co’s sleep remedy products are suitable for all ages to use. They contain no unnecessary additives. Each product is gentle but effective to the senses and helps the user to become relaxed and to quieten the mind. This is what every person needs, no matter what their age.
Can these products help my baby to switch to sleeping at night?
It can be very frustrating when you have a baby who sleeps through the day and is wakeful at night. Establishing a more effective routine that is conducive to sleep will definitely help. In the evening, be sure to set the environment to one that features soft orange light (instead of bright white/blue lights), perhaps with calming music, and use your choice of The Australian Sleep Co sleep remedy. Incorporate a warm bath and quiet cuddles. Keep noise levels lower than in the daytime. The aromas of the essential oils will, over the course of a few nights, help to create a sensory trigger that tells baby it’s bedtime. Remember that daytime should be the opposite … brighter, not quiet, plenty of activity and fresh air and without the use of the products.
Will it interfere with my medications?
The Australian Sleep Co sleep products should not cause your medications to be any more or less effective. They are a natural formula based on all natural essential oils. However you should always consult your doctor if you are unsure.
How does it work?
The formula features specific measures of particular essential oils that have been known to reduce stress levels and help to switch off your mind. They can be inhaled or applied to the skin. We recommend The Australian Sleep Co Night Oil for application to the skin as it contains 100% Australian certified organic camellia oil which is the most efficient carrier oil for the purpose. Lightly massage into your temples, onto the insides of your wrists, on your neck or chest or on the soles of your feet.
Do I have to use it every night?
You can use whichever product – or all three products together – as often as you like. For best results, use nightly because the more regularly you use these sleep remedies, the more your brain will recognise them as a sleep-inducer. We have had users who have said that if they don’t use the products, they crave the aromas. This does not mean they are addictive, but that they bring calm along with the beautiful fragrance and we humans always enjoy what brings us comfort.
When will I start to experience better sleep?
Most people find a definite improvement in their sleep the first night they use our products. If this is not so with you, don't be worried as some people find it can take a couple of days or up to 3 weeks for a marked improvement in their sleep quality.
Does it have drowsy side effects?
No, that’s one of the most wonderful benefits of using The Australian Sleep Co’s sleep products. They simply open the pathway between your brain and your endocrinological system so that your body can readjust its circadian rhythm. You’ll enjoy calmly drifting off into a deep, restorative sleep and in the morning, you’ll feel refreshed and ready to face the day.
Why are your products better than sedatives or other sleep-enhancing drugs?
The Australian Sleep Co was established to provide a drug-free alternative for those suffering from sleep issues. You can’t overdose on our products, you won’t feel groggy in the morning, they’re not addictive, they can be used across all age groups for the whole family, and they’re simply lovely to use.
Will it make me feel groggy in the morning?
Unlike some pharmaceutical sleep medications and some herbs, The Australian Sleep Co’s sleep remedy products should not make you feel groggy in the morning. Being a drug-free solution to sleep problems, they don’t leave any residue in your system that your body would then have to work to process.
What if I have to get up to my child in the middle of the night?
Unlike sedatives and other sleep drugs, The Australian Sleep Co’s sleep remedies do not ‘zonk’ you out or cause you to be ‘dead to the world’, as some people put it. If you have to get up for any reason, even to go to the toilet, you should be able to do so and then go back to bed. There shouldn't be any dizziness, grogginess or lack of necessary alertness. Do avoid putting on any bright lights and keep the environment calm and quiet. If you need support to go back to sleep when you get back into bed, simply use your favourite product again. You can’t ‘overdose’ on The Australian Sleep Co’s products.
I’m an asthma sufferer; will it cause me any harm?
No, they shouldn't cause you any harm* ( we have not heard of any of our customers having a reaction) but you should always consult your doctor if you aren't sure and if you are suffering from blocked sinuses, you may want to use them transdermally (i.e. through the skin). You can use the night oil to massage your sinuses and dislodge pollutants and you can massage Night Oil into your temples, on the soles of your feet or on your chest and still enjoy the benefits. Plus, you’ll love the way it makes your skin feel.
How long will each product last with nightly use?
We estimate that if you use a product nightly, it should last around 6 months, however the shelf life of our products, if kept in a cool place is 2 years at least.
Will it work if I have sleep apnoea?
The Australian Sleep Co’s sleep remedy products can be used if you have sleep apnoea. Use Ultimate Sleep Blend in a diffuser or oil burner half an hour before bedtime to create a calm, relaxing environment and derive the benefits of the sleep-inducing aromas. You can also use Night Oil on your skin such as the soles of your feet because the benefits can be achieved that way.
